The University鈥檚 main campus is located in the heart of Hattiesburg.
The Southern Miss Hattiesburg campus spans one square mile and features notable landmarks such as the Lucas Administration Building (affectionately known as 鈥淭he Dome鈥�), a 20-foot-wide bronze eagle sculpture, and a gold street that runs under the football stadium. Quaint plazas paved with brick, promenades shaded by a canopy of oak trees, and quintessential Southern porches are charming features of this beautiful campus.
The University鈥檚 five original buildings, built in 1912, are still in use. Beyond the historic district, a series of state-of-the-art facilities dot the campus, including a 93,000-square-foot business school, a nursing education facility with an advanced technology simulation laboratory, and a polymer science center.
