School of Speech and Hearing Sciences

Introduction

Application deadline for graduate programs: February 1st for fall semester admission.  The graduate programs of the School of Speech and Hearing Sciences follow the University's application policies and procedures for regular and conditional admission as stipulated in the Graduate School bulletin.

The School of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Southern Miss consists of audiology and speech-language pathology.  Students who choose these fields care about, have a compassion for and are empathetic to the needs of people.  They are honest with themselves and others, especially those whom they serve.  Professional dedication is also a must given the rapid pace of the programs and the immense amount of information that must be learned and applied.  If you feel you possess these qualities, then a career in the communication sciences may be right for you.
