Microsoft OneDrive and Microsoft Groups Storage Limits

Overview
Microsoft is implementing new storage limits for its academic customers, and, as a result, Southern Miss students, faculty, and staff will see changes to the available storage limits in their OneDrive for Business and Microsoft Group accounts.
What's Changing?
Microsoft OneDrive for Business and Groups has received new limits.
Microsoft OneDrive:
- Faculty and Staff: 50 GB
- Emeritus, Light Workers, and Affiliates: 20 GB
- Students: 20 GB
Microsoft Groups (includes Teams): 50 GB
Who is Affected?
These changes will affect all students, faculty, and staff using university-provided cloud storage through Microsoft 365 licensing.
Action Required
To ensure a smooth transition, please review your current storage usage and take necessary actions.
- For OneDrive: Check your storage usage by logging into OneDrive and selecting the "Storage" option in the settings menu. Consider reviewing your data and deleting any unnecessary files. For information on how to view and manage your storage, view .
