Is this Environmental Sciences degree right for you?

The non-thesis M.S. in Environmental Sciences is a rigorous, three semester (summer, fall and spring) graduate program designed to prepare students for professional careers in the field of environmental science. Completion of this degree will help students gain entry into the fields of environmental consulting, wildlife science, natural resource management, K-12 or community college teaching careers, and a variety of other professions within the environmental sciences.

What Will I Learn?

The program in Environmental Sciences prepares students for a future in this broad field through a selection of hands-on courses in biology, geology, geography, and statistics. Although there are no specialization areas within the degree program, students will have some flexibility to choose electives that are geared to their personal interests and goals.


The Lake Thoreau Environmental Center

The Lake Thoreau property is a 291-acre nature preserve that is home to a wide variety of environmental science research. The site is equipped with a large environmental center that houses a smart classroom, the Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Herbarium, and the Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Fish Museum.
