Bio

Matthew Earnest directs classical and new plays, musicals, opera, and his own literary adaptations, translations, and original works. His productions have been presented across the US, commercially in NYC, in Europe, Canada, and Africa and have been commissioned by the National Endowment for the Arts and others. His many awards include the New York Times Critics Pick, Audience Favourite (Dublin), and the Dallas Theatre Critics Forum Award, and he has taught at Marymount Manhattan College, Kent State, University of Rochester, and elsewhere.
