Bio
Dr. Gregory Wolynec is the newly appointed Director of Orchestral Activities at Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ. He directs the nationally recognized Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ Symphony and the Southern Opera & Musical Theatre Company as well as oversees the MM and DMA program in Orchestral Conducting. Wolynec also serves as the Music Director of the Gateway Chamber Orchestra in Clarksville, Tenn. which has been lauded by national and international press. He has conducted on recordings for the Summit and Delos labels, including the upcoming release of Osvaldo Golijov's massive La Pasión según San Marcos in audio, video and virtual reality formats. He previously served on the faculty at Austin Peay State University.

Wind Serenades (March 2010) The Gateway Chamber Ensemble. This recording of Strauss’ Serenade in Eb, Op. 7 and Mozart’s Serenade in Bb K. 361/370a ‘Gran Partita’ was released by Summit Records. Reviewed positively by Fanfare magazine (two reviews) and American Record Guide. Received considerable GRAMMY consideration with producer Blanton Alspaugh nominated for Classical Producer of the Year. - Chamber Symphonies (Recording)

Producer Blanton Alspaugh awarded GRAMMY for Classical Producer of the Year. - Reinecke: Cello Concerto (Recording)
Reinecke: Cello Concerto (May 2015) Michael Samis, cello with the Gateway Chamber Orchestra. This recording of Carl Reinecke’s previously unrecorded cello concerto, along with Ernest Ansermet’s orchestration of Robert Schumann’s Adagio and Allegro, was released on the Delos label. Reviewed positively by Fanfare Magazine and American Record Guide. - La Pasión según San Marcos Recording
Conducted the performances of GCO with a chorus of 50 assembled for the occasion. Served as co-producer for all editing work for three versions of the piece - a traditional audio recording, a full length video recording employing 360 camera technology and a 15 minute full immersion Virtual Reality experience. This project will be completed during 2025 with commercial release on the Summit label. Oversaw successful grant application of $50,000 to Google for this project.
