Dyslexia is a language-based disorder that interferes with the acquisition and processing of skills in reading/written language. It varies in degree of severity and is manifested by difficulties in receptive and expressive language, including phonological processing in reading, writing, spelling, handwriting and sometimes arithmetic.
For Children Who:
1. Have difficulty
- Rhyming
- Sounding out words
- Blending sounds into words
- Spelling
- Reading
2. May or may NOT have a diagnosis of dyslexia or specific learning disability in reading
3. Have average speech and oral language skills
Curriculum:
LEAP is a modified DuBard Association Method®&²Ô²ú²õ±è;curriculum. LEAP goes directly to the problem, teaching the most critical skills to gain maximum results.
- Multisensory curriculum
- Orton-Gillingham-based in content and principles of instruction
