Mission Statement for Architectural Engineering Technology:

To prepare students for successful careers in the design and construction industry, and also prepare students for advanced study and professional Master of Architecture programs.

Program Educational Objectives** for Architectural Engineering Technology:

The undergraduate Architectural Engineering Technology program prepares students to achieve the following educational objectives within 3-5 years of graduation:

  •  PEO 1:   Develop coordinated design and technical solutions in the production of professional quality architectural working drawings and specifications.
  • PEO 2:  Assist or manage Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) activities.
  • PEO 3:  Attain industry-specific certifications or advanced degree requirements for potential licensure.
  • PEO 4: Successfully integrate and contribute to the success of a multi-disciplinary team within the A/E/C field.
  • PEO 5:  Continually seek higher-level task requiring independent thinking and judgement for training development purposes and advance professionally with increased responsibility.

These PEOs were approved by the program faculty as well as reviewed and approved by the Industry Advisory Council in the spring of 2020.
