BACKGROUND
Documents both digital and paper are retained for varying lengths of time depending on a variety of considerations, including, but not limited to, content type, regulations and specific business requirements.
DEFINITION
Records retention- This term indicates the means and processes an entity uses to protect important records (both digital and paper versions) and preserve them for a specific time period after which they can be disposed.
RETENTION SCHEDULE FOR MINORS ON CAMPUS
According to MDAH #6105, for documentation of minors on campus they are to be held for 3 years after close of program/event, then are to be disposed of.
